In the forest, past the trees, past the stones by the creek. Past the birds in the shrub, past the bear with her cubs - a door is there, where the sun starts.
Through the door, and through the tunnel. Through the leaves and through the rubble. In storms and clouds, in sunny joy, the treasure gleams and calls a boy.
The boy with joy, the boy with life, the boy who always smiles through strife. The boys who's kind, the boy who's caring, the boy who is called daring.
The boy listens, the boy obeys, the treasure talks, and the boy stays. The treasure loves, and the boy feels warm, and the boy comes in when the treasure calls.
The grass is green, the puddles small, the toys all scattered through the lawn. The bats, the bears, they all feel loved, but the love of a mother can't be outdone.
