Hattie’s Hibernation

Once upon a time in the Wandering Wood there lived a hedgehog called Hattie.

When everyone else fell asleep at night, Hattie would just be waking up.

She spent night after night collecting as many leaves and branches as she could to make her bed really comfortable. As she made her way around the forest she was always on the look out for anything to eat.

After many nights building her bed and foraging for food she was very, very tired. With her belly full, Hattie snuggled down into her warm bed as the first flurries of snow started to fall and drifted off into a deep sleep.
