Night has ended, Little Baby,

light has come to start the day

The long cool dark is brighter now,

so close your eyes as you lay

Your back is warm from the sun,

and your front from lying on me

Let the songs of the morning birds,

lull you to sleep, here in the tree

Squeeze me tight, Little Baby,

your fuzzy bed high in the sky,

You will rest above the ground,

upon my fur, soft and dry.

As you drift into your dreams,

I’ll give you a kiss on your head

One last yawn, Little Baby,

before you sleep in your bed
