Wing Walking Woes

On a plane that was bound for Gibraltar
When the in-flight equipment had fused
I was voted to become a wing walker
By the crew - just to keep them amused.
I clambered outside and got a good grip
The passengers cheered my endeavour
Then somebody asked me to do a back flip
Before there's a change in the weather.
I duly obliged but much to my shock
I lost a few things in the spin:
A set of false teeth, a shoe and a sock
And the box that my glasses were in.
And then, on my shoulder, an unwanted guest
A raven decided to perch
It seems that it wanted some hair for a nest
And was eyeing me up for research.
It pecked at my hair as I did a jig
I was not going to give it up lightly
But sadly to say it flew off with my wig
That I thought I had glued on so tightly.
I clung to the wing with a faltering grip
My tongue feeling like it's been sanded
When I finally fell with an ear-piercing yell
I was lucky - the plane had just landed.
