The sky darkened. The wind screamed. The kingdom began to fall apart. In the middle of chaos stood one princess ready to prove them all wrong, a princess named Lisa. Lisa was not like the other royals in the palace. While others spent their time learning dances or attending feasts, she preferred climbing towers, exploring hidden rooms, and asking questions no one else dared to ask. But there was one thing that always troubled her. In her kingdom, many believed that girls could not rule. The elders often whispered, “A king must be strong. A queen cannot lead in times of danger. ” Lisa heard those words more times than she could count .Instead of breaking her spirit, they fuelled her determination. “I will prove them wrong, ” she would say quietly to herself. One evening, as the sky darkened and thunder rolled in the distance, Lisa wandered into the palace attic ,a dusty, forgotten place filled with old relics. That was when she saw it. A golden weaving machine stood in the corner, glowing faintly in the shadows. Its threads shimmered like sunlight, even in the dark. Lisa stepped closer, her heart beating fast. It felt as if the machine was calling her. She reached out her hand, “Princess!” .Lisa turned quickly. A maid stood at the doorway, slightly out of breath. “Your father is looking for you, ” she said. Lisa hesitated, glancing back at the machine. Something about it felt important… magical even. But she turned away. She didn’t know it yet, but that moment would change everything. The next day, the palace was filled with excitement. The kingdom had just won a great war, and King Harold had declared a grand celebration. Music filled the air. Colourful banners were hung across the streets. Villagers laughed, danced, and shared food from sunrise.Lisa walked among them, smiling—but her mind wandered back to the golden machine. Later that day, she stood beside her father. “This victory belongs to all of us, ” the king announced proudly. The crowd cheered. But as the sun began to set, something changed. The wind grew stronger. The sky darkened faster than usual. And then— Thunder crashed. A powerful storm swept across the land. Rain poured heavily. Trees bent under the force of the wind. Roofs were torn away. Crops were destroyed in moments. People screamed as the celebration turned into chaos .Lisa stood frozen for a second, watching her kingdom fall apart. Then she remembered. The machine .Without hesitation, Lisa ran to the stables. She mounted her horse and rode through the storm, pushing forward despite the heavy rain and strong winds. When she reached the palace, she rushed straight to the attic. The golden weaving machine still stood there, glowing softly, as if it had been waiting for her. “What are you?” she whispered. There was no time to wonder. She lifted the machine carefully. Though it looked heavy, it felt surprisingly light in her hands. With determination, she carried it back to her horse and rode toward the village again. The storm worsened, but Lisa refused to turn back. “I have to try, ” she said. Back in the village, destruction was everywhere. Houses had collapsed. Trees blocked the roads. The storm showed no sign of stopping. Lisa searched for a place where everyone could see her. She spotted a tall rock near the centre of the village. Climbing it wasn’t easy. The rain made it slippery, and the wind pushed against her. “Princess, stop!” the guards shouted. “It’s too dangerous!” the elders warned. But Lisa didn’t listen. She kept climbing. Finally, she reached the top. Soaked and tired, she placed the golden machine in front of her .She took a deep breath. “If this works… ” she said softly. Then she began to weave. Weaving the Sun. Lisa closed her eyes and imagined her kingdom as it once was. Bright. Peaceful. Full of life. Her hands moved across the machine, guiding the glowing threads. She wove the image of the village under a shining sun. She wove strong houses, healthy farms, and smiling people. At first, nothing happened. The storm continued. Lisa’s hands trembled. “What if this doesn’t work?” she thought. But she didn’t stop. She kept weaving. And then, Something changed. The wind began to slow. The rain grew lighter. The dark clouds started to break apart. The villagers looked up in shock. A beam of sunlight broke through the sky .Lisa kept weaving until the storm completely faded. The sky cleared. The village grew quiet. It was over. The villagers stood in silence for a moment. Then, slowly, they began to cheer. “Princess Lisa!” they called. Her father approached her, his eyes filled with pride. “You saved us, ” he said. The elders who once doubted her bowed their heads. “We were wrong, ” they admitted. From that day on, everything changed. Lisa was no longer just a princess. She became a symbol of courage, hope, and strength. Not long after, she was crowned queen. And she ruled with wisdom, kindness, and bravery. The golden weaving machine was kept safely in the palace—but its true power was never just in the threads. It was in Lisa’s courage to believe in herself. And so, her story lived on, reminding everyone: Even in the darkest storms, there is always light waiting to be woven.
