There once was a little ball of fur, rolling down a mountain. Now, this ball of fur was unlike other balls of fur, it was special by a big margin. It was the first ball of fur who could sing , but he could not see it. While all the other furry friends it had could dance, our little one never learned he could sing. And sad were his days, for he watched on as his fellows danced and made merry, but he could not.
Standing upon a rock, he sighed deeply and full of melancholy ;
"Oh! Poor me! What will I do? I want to dance with my friends! But I've not the moves for it..." He whined into the cold autumn wind. And much to his dismay, the mischievous wind carried his voice into the skies and to the peak of the mountain, where Daughter Nature resided.
Hearing his cries, she descended from her home to his side and with motherly tenderness, she caressed his cheek and wiped away his sadness ;
"Tell me, child, what bothers you so? What made you cry such hurting tears?" Her voice was soothing to the ear and calming to the mind.
"I want to dance!" Answered in haste the little child. "I want to dance with all my friends!" He continued. "But I cannot...whenever I try, I trip over myself." He finished his thoughts dejected.
A smile warms Daughter Nature's face as she pulls him in for a hug. "So small and foolish!" She giggles and starts petting him. "We are not all made for the same thing! Many are the reasons we are put on this earth, so do not despair..." She lingers on in silence for a few moments, allowing the young fur ball to pull away. "I am not good at dancing either!" She jokes half-heartedly. "But I don't let that stop me from having fun! That's what's important!" Her honeyed laughter filled his heart with courage, and before tumbling back down to his friends, he said ;
"Thank you Nature!" While she smiled and waved at him.
And so he rolled, and rolled... and rolled, down the mountain and into the valley of fur balls, where he used his feet to dance awkwardly and his voice to sing beautifully. And much fun was had by him and all his furry friends, with many long and happy days for him and those he loved. Might you dare to ask those who went there to see for themselves and managed to return from that party, you'd hear them say that they are still singing and dancing to this day.
The end.
