A scratching noise, a whimpering sound
I opened my door and there I found
A mangy dog with smelly coat
A slobbering tongue hung from it's throat.
And then with such a bounding glee
It ran inside and bit my knee
And then proceeded to my thigh
With amorous intent - it wasn't shy.
I shook my leg - the dog absorbed it
I tried to launch it into orbit
To no avail, it clung on tight
It seems it wants to stay the night.
With growls and howls it made me wince
My cat flew out - haven't seen it since
I wrestled hard in each position
My big mistake: to feign submission.
I pray to all the Gods above
That you should never have it's love
And if some day this dog you meet
Be careful that it's not on heat!
