I’ve always suspected that ordinary life is just a little bit magical, provided you’re willing to look closely enough. I’m a writer, daydreamer, and enthusiastic collector of imaginary people. My mind has a rather inconvenient habit of turning passing thoughts into entire stories. I’m drawn to stories with complicated characters, unexpected twists, deliciously messy emotions, and worlds that feel just a little more interesting than our own. I love exploring romance, fantasy, drama, and the strange little corners of human nature that make people wonderfully imperfect. My writing tends to wander between heartfelt and mischievous. Sometimes I want to write something that makes someone smile into their cup of tea. Other times, I want to leave a reader staring at the ceiling, emotionally devastated by someone who doesn’t even exist. When I’m not writing, I’m probably inventing elaborate scenarios in my head, collecting ideas that may or may not become stories, or wondering whether fictional villains would benefit from a decent therapist. I believe stories are little portals. Some take us somewhere extraordinary, while others help us understand the ordinary world a little better. Either way, I’m happiest when I have a blank page, a curious imagination, and a character who refuses to behave.
