It was a rainy day. At about 4 p.m., suddenly a car stopped in front of a house near a waste spot. Some people came out of the car and threw a box into the waste spot. At that time, a boy had seen this incident. His name was Shamsudheen. However, he did not take it seriously.
He went to bed, but he could not sleep because he was thinking about the incident again and again.
The next day, he woke up early in the morning. He offered his prayer, brushed his teeth, and got ready. Then he went to the madrasa. But he was still thinking about the box even during class.
After the madrasa, he returned home quickly and went to the waste spot with curiosity. The box was still there. He picked it up. It had some weight. When he opened it, he was very shocked because there was a little baby boy inside the box. The baby was very weak.
Shamsudheen felt very sorrowful. Immediately, he took the little boy to his home and gave him first aid. Then he told the incident to his parents.
His parents were very kind and caring. His father said, “We can hand over the little boy to an orphanage.” His mother also agreed.
Then they called the orphanage and explained the incident. The management of the orphanage received the baby with kindness.
At that time, an old scholar heard about the incident. He said, “I can bring up this child.”
The little boy did not have a name, a father, or a home. The old scholar named him Abdullah.
After many years, Abdullah became a government worker in Kasaragod.
Moral: A small act of kindness can change a life.
