Sirens blare the streets. Francis quietly looks out her window, sipping a cup of coffee in her dressing gown in a messy bun.

"Well I'm glad that laws exist or else we wouldn't have 8 billion people in the world! We'd have about 1 million people and all of them would be lunatics! " she chuckles to herself. She had seen rumors everywhere online about the purge happening that night but Francis didn't believe any of it. The internet is a crazy place! When is there nothing fake on there? Later that night she just starts making herself a nice cup of tea, but sirens flood the streets which causes Francis to jump. Hot water flings right out of her cup which burns her finger. She runs to the living room to turn on the news. This is it, it's the purge. And this whole time Francis was just sitting there thinking it was fake!

'THIS IS NOT A TEST. ANNOUNCING THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE ANNUAL PURGE! '

Her heart drops straight to her stomach. Her hands fly straight to her mouth. Nausea fills her body, she never thought this was going to happen! She couldn't even get a single word out until she heard her door handle rattling. She grabbed her weights for protection. Completely forgetting that the purge meant all crimes are now lega, she grabs her phone and dials 999. Straight to voicemail. I little voice starts speaking on the phone

"Sorry the police can't get your call right now because of the annual purge! Unless you need to speak medical attention, we can't take your call! "

Francis starts panicking! The door flings wide open and she launched it directly to his head. BULLSEYE! The man falls straight to the floor dead with blood pouring out of him.

"Well thT just happened... Aww why did blood have to come out of him these carpets are white and brand new!?"

Francis can't comprehend that she just murdered someone, she didn't mean to though and anyways it's the purge. She can't get arrested! Right?... Well what will she do with the dead body? It's a hazard just walking out the door! Francis can just hear people screaming because people are chasing them with knives and there's nothing anyone can do about it! No one is safe, not even the murderers. Well she might as well have some fun while the purge is happening! Let's just do some shoplifting, just to get her shopping done. No biggie! Then, she hears something she would never expect to hear (not even today) an insane asylum prisoner has escaped and is just a few blocks away! Francis triple locks her and shuts all windows, heart racing! She hadn't even had her shoes on. Theres blood all over the streets and gun fires make her ears hurt. She calls her mum, straight to voicemail!

"MUM! PLEASE PICK UP! " Francis starts to think the worst! She wasn't even being dramatic this time! Her mums chance of dying had risen by a mile! Then, windows shatter! It's not the neighbours, its hers.... Francis tries to grab her weights but trips and twists her ankle really bad! Then a man hovers over her!

"Please! I'm too young to die! "

But those words don't work! Even if it wasnt the purge, no murderers gonna listen! He holds his knife up then everything goes black... A muffled siren goes off on the TV. 'The annual purge has officially ended and all crimes are now illegal! Any crime shall end in arrest! ' then silence. Francis is gone for good! Sirens start blaring the streets again while Francis just lies there, all limp....
