The note in the library book

It is the early 60s, Sandi is bored stuck at secretarial college when all she really wants is to be a pop singer. Her mum spends her days reading Mills and Boon books which Sandi scoffs at for being sentimental and outdated. As she flicks through her mums library book she finds a note saying if you have the voice and looks to be a pop star give us a call. Chances are it is a hoax, but then it might just be genuine. Does she take a chance?
