Where in the world can StorySloth authors get paid?

The sloth’s summary: We use a payment service called Stripe to send earnings to authors. Stripe currently supports bank payouts in 44 countries across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, South America, and the Middle East. If your country is on the list below, you can become a Verified Author and receive monthly payments directly to your bank account.
If your country isn’t listed, you can still publish stories on StorySloth — you just won’t be able to receive payouts yet. Stripe is expanding to new countries regularly, and we’ll update this page as they do.

Important Notes
- Thailand & United Arab Emirates: Authors in these countries may need additional setup steps. Stripe requires manual review for accounts in these regions, which can take a little longer.
- Currency: All earnings are calculated in GBP (British Pounds). If your bank account is in a different currency, Stripe automatically converts the amount before it reaches your account. Stripe’s exchange rates are competitive, and any small conversion fee is handled by Stripe — not by us or your bank.
- Identity verification: To receive payouts, all authors must complete identity verification through Stripe. This is a legal requirement for anyone receiving payments and helps keep the platform safe for everyone.
- Tax responsibility: Earnings from StorySloth may be taxable income in your country of residence. We recommend checking with a local tax authority or accountant if you’re unsure.
- My country isn’t listed: You can still create an account, publish stories, and build a readership. When Stripe adds support for your country, you’ll be able to start the verification process and begin earning right away.
